Learn Spanish in Nerja (Malaga) in Spain

The school is situated in the heart of the town, in an "acienda" with a big garden, a terrace and a patio. It consists of 12 very brilliant classes, equipped with TV and video. The sea is in 6 minutes on foot.

Tuition Programs

• 1 lesson: 50 minutes
• Schedule: (9:00 AM -1:00 PM) or / and (2:30 PM - 6:30 PM).
• Minimum age: 16
   
• Tuition of 20 lessons: maximum 10 students per class
   
• Tuition of 30 lessons: maximum 6 students per class
   
• DELE. preparation: 20 lessons per week + 5 lessons special DELE prep.
  10 students maxi per class. Foreseen exam dates 2008: May, August and November, Malaga University. Exam fees 160€  to be paid on the spot.
   
• Course for foreign Spanish teachers: 1 week, 30 lessons. Last pedagogical and teaching methods.
   
• Business Spanish: minimum age 18. 30 lessons per week. Exam the last day of course. Madrid chamber of commerce. 160 Euros to be paid on the spot.
   
• Elderly courses (50 and up): tuition 15 lessons per week, maximum 2 weeks, a lot of excursions included (Grenade and Alhambra Palace, Nerja prehistoric caves, Frigiliana (a typical Mores village), course of Spanish cookery and Spanish dance, Spanish films.
   
• Literature or civilization: For intermediate level students only. 2 weeks duration, 10 group lessons per week (PM). To be chosen between the 2 options. TO BE ADDED TO THE 20 LESSONS PER WEEK COURSE. For those staying 4 weeks minimum, the 2 options are possible. Price x 2.
   
• Teaching material not included: 12 Euros per book to be paid on site.
• Test and certificate of language training
• Video screaming evenings
• Entertaining activities organized by school

• Airport transfer one way: 90 €
  Recommended airport:  Malaga and then 35 minutes by bus.
• Additional activities package:
    2 weeks activities + 1 excursion on Saturday: 95€
   
• Our prices are available from January 1st to December 31, 2008. These prices never include the Air Fare.

Family accommodation, shared apartment or student residence:

• Arrival on Sunday.
• Departure on Saturday.
• In family, single or double occupancy, 2 meals a day.
• In shared apartment with other students, single occupancy, meals not included.
• In student residence (30 bedrooms, 3 minutes walking from the school), standard room in single or double occupancy, no meal, private bathroom, swimming pool, cafeteria, walking distance from the school. Superior rooms with TV, fridge, coffee maker. Special rooms for wheelchair persons.
  Meals plan available on site: 22 Euros per week for breakfast OR 97 Euros per week for half board.

   * 25 Euros supplement per week from July 1st to September 30.

Our greeting families are recruited with great care. The criteria of selection are very rigorous and each family must satisfy a precise schedule of conditions: excellent morality, desire to communicate with their host, satisfactory social standing. We should specify that the families will only speak with you the language of the country where you will be. It is the principle of the immersion courses!

City information

Nerja is a town of 15.000 inhabitants in the south-east of Axarquia in Andalusia and is located at 45 km of Malaga. You will be able to walk in the hunting preserve of the Tejeda Sierras and Almijara and to admire cliffs or balcony of Maro, Rio Chillar, of Honey, Barranco of Coladilla, Navachica (1832 Mr.), Almendrón (1514 Mr.), Alto del Cielo (1508 m).
You will be able to visit the splendid caves of Nerja which goes back 30000 years and those of Civila, Espartal, Pintada and Sima Zarate.

To appreciate the sources of Maro, Honey, los Cahorros, Caños del Rey, Ftes. Santa and Esparto. And to discover the rivers of Chillar de Maro, of Honey, barranco of Coladilla-Cazadores and Campillo stream. There are also the remainders of the Bajo Castle or Turn of mow Guardas and the tower of guet Maraca, Torrecilla, Maro, Benamiel, del Pino, of Caleta or Cañuelo. The splendid aqueduct of the Eagle (del Aguila) dating from the XIX century with four stages of arcs and small temples. And the church San El Salvador of the XVII-XVIII century. Here are some dates of the local festivals: the village fair Saint Isidro (May 15), the procession Navy LED Carmen (July 16), the festivals Saint Antón (Maro, January 17), Feria (Nerja, Oct. 10), Tired Maravillas (Maro, 8 sep.). Mow Lumbres (Bonfires on January 17), Carnival (February), Easter, tired Cruces (May 3), S. Juan (June 24), and the folklore Verdiales and Fandango. Finally in July festivities with the cave of Nerja. There are very beautiful courses to follow for the amateurs: the wine trail.
