Learn Russian in St-Petersburg in Russia

Our school is in 3 minutes on foot of the subway station LIGOVSKY PROSPECT, in the historic centre of the city.

Tuition programs

• 1 lesson: 50 minutes.
• Minimum age: 17.
• Schedule: 09:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
• Maximum of 8 students per class.
   
• 25 lessons per week: ALL LEVELS ACCEPTED. 20 lessons + 5 lessons (3 on Tuesday and 2 on Thursday) introducing students to subjects of general interest such as: Russian for business, business in Russia, Russian mass media today, Russian culture, history and literature. 
   
• TRKI exam preparation. Module of 5 private lessons. In addition to a private or group course only. You can get the number of modules you wish jointly determined by the teacher and the student. Exam cost: between 50 and 75 Euros depending on the type of exam you'll pass (TBU, TEU, TRKI1, 2, 3 or 4).
   
• Academic year: 20 lessons per week,  24, 36 or 48 weeks.
   
• Beginners however have to know and be familiar with the Cyrillic alphabet

• Free access to Internet and Email.

• Airport transfer at arrival. Arrival MUST be on Sunday.
• Test and attestation of linguistic training.

Starting dates

  *  Full beginners must start to the dates above. Beginners however have to know and be familiar with the Cyrillic alphabet

 + Maximum 2 weeks course.

Academic year: January 14, February 11,  April 7, July 14 or 28, September 22.

School closing dates

During holidays, the courses will take place. They will stop from December 15th, 2008 to start again only January 11,  2009.

• Airport transfer, one way (independent travelers) or outside schedule arrival day:  45€
   
• All our rates are valid from January 1st till December 31st, 2008 and never include the plane ticket.

Co-Op programme.
Minimum age to participate: 21
Intermediate level required.

Beforehand, 4 weeks course are compulsory followed from 4 to 24 weeks of work professional experiment in a Russian company.

Required document: a CV in Russian language. All documentation relating to the work experience programme should be sent at least 8 weeks prior to arrival.

Family or shared apartment accommodation.

• Arrival on Sunday.
• Departure on Saturday.
• Single or double occupancy bedroom, 2 meals per day during the week, all meals during the week end. Airport transfer at arrival included for those taking a course with accommodation. Arrival on Sunday.
   
• Shared apartment. No meal. Single or double occupancy bedroom.  ADDITIONAL NIGHTS ARE NOT POSSIBLE WITH THIS KIND OF ACCOMMODATION.

 Price per week: 160€. This price is also available for the companion or those taking no course. In that case the transfer is not included. Please see options available above.
Additional day ONLY AVAILABLE in the family: 35$US (this price is also available for the companion or those taking no course: 5 additional days = 1 week.

Our greeting families are recruited with great care. The criteria of selection are very rigorous and each family must satisfy a precise conditions of contract: : excellent morality, desire to communicate with their host, satisfactory social standing. We should specify that the families will only speak with you the language of the country where you will be. It is the principle of the immersion courses!

City information

Built by Pierre the Great one during the XVIII century to attract European capital, St-Petersburg is regarded as one of the most beautiful towns of Russia. Its splendid architecture includes in particular the Hermitage, which shelters one of the most sumptuous art collections of the world. It is the attack on the Winter Palace of St-Petersburg which started the revolution of 1917. The renaming of the city reflect different periods of Russian history.

In winter, from November to March, the temperature can go down to -30°C. It is strongly advised to provide yourself with hot and impermeable shoes, underclothing, gloves and an insulated and impermeable coat. The other seasons are prone to rain.

The summer is often very hot!
