Tuition program

• 1 lesson: 50 minutes
• Minimum age: 18
• Schedule: from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
• Maximum of 8 students per class.
• All levels available.
• 20 lessons per week: also included  1:30 hour course on the Greek cuisine or one free meal in town and 1 visit in a museum (2 hours).
   
• 9 lessons per week: 3 hours per day, 3 times a week. Total 8 weeks.
   
• Greek for business, for foreign teachers of Greek, Ancient Greek: PRIVATE COURSE ONLY, minimum 2 hours per day.
   
• Cultural program: PRIVATE COURSE ONLY, minimum 2 hours per day. For the advanced intermediate levels even advanced. We shall review the Greek literature, the history of Greece, the history of the Greek language and the ethnography of Greece.
   
• SUMMER course: 12 weeks, 20 lessons per week.
• School materials
• Internet access and email.
• Multi media center and library.
• Renewed cafeteria.
• Access to Internet and email
• If 4 weeks stay, 2 visits in museums included.
• Numbers of excursions to be paid on the spot: 1, 2 or 3 days.
• Greek dance lessons, Sirtaki and Bouzouki or Greek music: (small additional fees). 
• Evaluation and certificate of linguistic training .

Private tuition: every monday.

 Lost lessons during holidays are caught up.

Family or apartment accommodation. Hotel (breakfast included) upon request.

• Sunday arrival and Saturday departure.
• Family, single occupancy bedroom, 1 meal per day (breakfast).
• Shared apartment, single or double occupancy, meals not included. Kitchen, bathroom, living room are all shared with other students.
     
                   Placement fee (once): 85 Euros.

Our greeting families are recruited with great care. The criteria of selection are very rigorous and each family must satisfy a precise schedule of conditions: excellent morality, desire to communicate with their host, satisfactory social standing. We should specify that the families will only speak with you the language of the country where you will be. It is the principle of the immersion courses!
                 

The school is just viewing the Venetian Wall. It is 1000 m from the seaside, same distance form the Venetian Port and the Center of the town. Buses moving bath into the town and also towards the best seasides stop next corner of the school.

There are tenths of restaurants, cafes and bars very near the school.

   We have two computer labs at the school and one library. Students have free access to Internet.  They may also practice using our own educational material on Multimedia CD.

City information

The modern city occupies the place of ancient Kydonia, the powerful town often battling against Gortyne and Cnossos. In the XIII century it is monopolized by the Venetians who give its current name and who, set apart 25 years of Genes occupation, will stay there until 1645, date their defeat in front of the Turks.
These last ones withdraw in 1897, after the landing of international contingents. Khania remained major administrative center of Crete until 1971.
It makes good to promenade around the Venetian port in the magnificent colours of ochre which harmonize with the deep blue of the sea, to roam silently at the time of the siesta in the charming alleys to appreciate the peace and the relaxed rhythm of life of this welcoming city.
