Learn English in Cambridge in United Kingdom

20, 27 or 35 group lessons of  general English, Cambridge exams (FCE, CAE), academic semester or year, private courses.

Our school, elegant building in the town centre, has 9 very openwork classes, free access with Internet, library, multimedia room, cafeteria.

Tuition program

  • 1 lesson: 45 minutes
  • Minimum age: 16
  • Schedule: 08:30 AM to 3:30 PM depending on the program chosen
  • During the summer period, schedules can be modified
  • Maximum of 15 students per class (average of 10)
     
  • Academic semester: 21/23 weeks. Holidays will last from 1 to 3 weeks. 20 weeks tuition
     
  • Academic year: 35/37 weeks. Holidays will last from 3 to 5 weeks. 32 weeks tuition.
     
  • Cambridge (FCE, CAE). Minimum level required: intermediate. 27  lessons per week. For those taking the Cambridge exam over 12 weeks, please foresee 1 additional week of accommodation.
     
  • Beginners are not accepted
  • Visit of the city (orientation tour)
  • Learning material. 25GBP deposit. Will be refund at the end if no dammage caused.
  • Linguistic laboratory and video
  • Evaluation and certificate of linguistic training
  • Access to Internet and E-mail

  • Sunday arrival. 
  • Saturday departure.
  • Family, single or double occupancy, 1 or 2 meals per day. Superior family available with a higher standard of living.
  • Residence, Modern purpose built building 5 minutes walk from the city centre and 20 minutes' cycle ride to the school. Small, well furnished single rooms with en suite shower room. Telephone/internet points for students on long term courses (1 year) only. Students pay all charges. 4 floors with 5 bedrooms and kitchen/diner on each floor plus 8 further bedrooms and 2 kitchen/diners in another block. Kitchens fully equipped including microwave, cooker, dining table and chairs, TV. Bed linen provided and laundered weekly. Towels not included. Our greeting families are recruited with great care. The criteria of selection are very rigorous and each family must satisfy a precise conditions of contract: : excellent morality, desire to communicate with their host, satisfactory social standing. We should specify that the families will only speak with you the language of the country where you will be. It is the principle of the immersion courses!
 

City Information

City and county of England, 80 km from London. Its university, world-famous, was based in 1281 ( Peterhouse school) by students of Oxford fleeing the riots of this city. The city is also an administrative and commercial centre.

Cambridge is one of Britain's oldest-established centre of learning. Because it has been
 welcoming students for hundreds of years there is a great deal for you to do - as you'll soon
 discover, thanks to the school's Activities organiser. Here are examples of a few activities you may  be interested in:

Guided Tour of Cambridge Colleges. An entertaining local guide brings all the historic colleges to life with fascinating tales of famous students, past and present.

London Excursion to see "Phantom of the Opera". Cambridge is only an hour from
London by fast train - which means there's plenty of time to enjoy this world-class musical at night.

Cycle Ride to Granchester with tea. A gentle ride along the river brings you to the
delightful village of Granchester, where you'll en joy tea in a traditional Orchard setting.
