Everyone speaks English in New Zealand. Our English is pure and clear; it is an international English easily understood everywhere in the world. New Zealand English is very different from Australian English. New Zealand is a small, quiet and green country, with only 3.5 million people in a country as large as Chile, Italy or Japan. New Zealand is dominated by Nature, with magnificent beaches, lakes and mountains. There are no snakes and very few predators in New Zealand. You can become a new person in New Zealand. You can relax, breathe fresh air, drink clean water, and meet friendly New Zealanders who enjoy helping visitors to practice English.

Informations

Auckland

Main city, first harbour and former capital. Situated on a narrow isthmus between the Manukau harbour and Waitemata harbour, it extends between extinct volcanoes. In 1840 the first governor general of the country, who looked for a place for the capital intended to replace Russel, bought the whole isthmus then deserted for the price of 55 golden pounds. The site consists of a series of extinct volcanoes between two harbours, that of Manukau in the South looking onto the sea of Tasman, and that of Waiteman "Twinkling waters" in maori language in the East which looks onto the Pacific. Today the city consists about 800 000 inhabitants, it collects the most important Polynesian population of the world ( 57000 persons).
Its war museum shelters a very beautiful collection of maori art
