Séjour linguistique à Miami aux ETATS-UNIS

Cours de 15 ou 20 leçons de groupe par semaine d'anglais général, préparation au CAMBRIDGE, anglais + tennis, anglais + golf, TOEFL, internship (Co-Op program)

  Notre école se trouve en face de la ville 
  de Miami dans le fameux quartier ART DÉCO
  sur Miami Beach. La plage sera facile d'accès.
  Restos, bars, distractions à gogo dans ce
  quartier hyper branché.

Programme du cours

  • 1 leçon: 55 minutes
  • Age minimum: 18 ans
  • Horaire: (9:00-15:00) variable selon le programme choisi.
  • Maximum de 10 - 12 étudiants par classe, moyenne de 6 - 8
  • Tous les niveaux disponibles
  • Accès à Internet et Email .
  • Matériel scolaire: 60$US (4 semaines). Toute session additionnelle, 60$US.

  • Evaluation et attestation de formation linguistique

  • 15 leçons par semaine, VISA NON REQUIS
     
  • Anglais + tennis ou golf. 15 leçons par semaine de cours de langue + 4 heures par semaine du sport pratiqué avec entraineurs professionnels.
     
  • Préparation au CAMBRIDGE (FCE, CAE ou CPE). L'examen a lieu la dernière semaine de cours directement à l'école. Les frais d'examen sont payables sur place:

SEVIS I-901 (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System): PRIX: 100$US

Depuis le 1er septembre 2004, le Ministère de la Sécurité Intérieure (Department of Homeland Security)  percoit un droit d’enregistrement, conformément aux dispositions du Congrès, afin de couvrir les frais de gestion des fichiers étudiants dans le cadre du Programme SEVP (Student and Exchange Visitor Program).

Etudiants et participants à un programme d’échange sont soumis au paiement du droit d’enregistrement SEVIS qui sera affecté à la gestion du Programme, au financement des opérations de mise en application, et à la création d’un service de liaison SEVIS. Ce service jouera le rôle d’organisme local de référence pour les établissement d’enseignement et les étudiants souhaitant être informés en temps utile sur toutes questions relatives au programme.

Le système SEVIS (système automatisé utilisant une base de données relatives à l’entrée, au séjour et à la sortie du territoire des étudiants étrangers ou participants à un programme d’échange) permettra d’enregistrer et de vérifier le paiement effectué au moyen du formulaire I-901.

Description: TOEFL

4 Weeks

All foreign students must have a high TOEFL score if they wish to enter a U.S. University (usually 550 or higher).
The test score defines their English proficiency. The main objective of our course is to prepare students for the
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language ) and help them to achieve the necessary TOEFL score.

Each week a practice test will be given which simulates actual TOEFL test conditions as much as possible.
All sections - listening, grammar and reading - are given back-to-back and are timed.

Computer-based TOEFL

The new Computer-based TOEFL is divided into four different parts: listening, grammar, reading and writing.
Our course format and actual test- taking process have been modified to adapt to training, and you will be well
prepared to take the official CBT test. Our TOEFL Preparation course is conducted in the Multimedia Learning
Center, and the instructor will assign each student an individual training program.

Written skills are also practiced for the TWE (Test of Written English); a timed essay is given each week
with topics that can be seen on any TWE exam.

American Work Experience Course
We offers the opportunity for foreign students or young working adults from all over the world to experience
a real-life business setting in the United States and gain valuable work experience. Prior to starting the internship to prepare you for the work experience, you will also participate in our Intensive English Program (minimum study period: 4 weeks). The internship will be related to your field of study or work experience in your country, for example:

Admissibility

To participate, students must have a good working knowledge of English (minimum 550 TOEFL) and
be at least 18 years of age.

Duration

The normal period of work will be from 4 to 12 weeks.

Before the Work Placement Program

Before an internship begins, we help the applicant to develop and American-style resume and to prepare
for interviews. Host companies have an opportunity to interview applicants before the placement is finalized.

During the Program

We will provide an advisor who will make regular contacts with you and the host company to provide
support and monitor progress.

On Completion of the Program

Interns will receive a special Certificate of Accomplishment attesting to successful completion of the
program. Additionally, the host company will provide a recommendation letter from your supervisor.

Informations sur la ville

La  plus grande ville du sud des Etats-Unis au sud est de la Floride. La baie de Biscayne et les îlots l'isolent de l' Atlantique. Sa plage de Miami Beach, vaste ensemble de palaces et de villa (93 300 habitants), occupe un ilôt à 5 km au large et se prolonge au nord sur 140 km en une chaîne ininterrompue de stations balnéaires jusqu'à Palm Beach. Le quartier Art-Déco est particulièrement intéressant à visiter.
